On December 18th, our company successfully concluded the final meeting of the National Product Carbon Footprint Label Certification Pilot Site Evaluation. Zhou Jian, Director of the County Market Supervision Bureau, and Wang Shuo from the Industry and Information Bureau attended the meeting.
As one of the 25 pilot units selected in the first batch nationwide and the sole municipal-level unit in Henan Province, the company successfully passed the on-site evaluation through its solid foundation in carbon footprint management, rigorous data system, and commitment to continuous improvement. This marks a milestone step for the company on its path to green and low-carbon development, contributes to the promotion and application of product carbon footprint labeling, and positions it as a practitioner and contributor to the national "dual carbon" strategy!
This certification pilot is organized and promoted by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). Its purpose is to drive the establishment and implementation of a product carbon footprint labeling certification system to support the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals. Nanyang Weite Flameproof Motor Co., Ltd., its long-term accumulation and outstanding performance in green manufacturing and energy conservation and emission reduction, has become a benchmark enterprise for pioneering trials in the small-power motor field, reflecting the state's high recognition and trust in its green development practices.
During the evaluation period, the expert team led by Group Leader Yang Wenyu conducted an in-depth assessment of the company's carbon footprint management system through document review, on-site observation, data verification, and personnel interviews. In his final meeting report, Group Leader Yang pointed out that the company demonstrated solid performance in system foundation, data quality, process control, and overall compliance with certification requirements. Particularly, its data traceability and continuous improvement mechanisms set a benchmark for the industry. The evaluation team also put forward constructive suggestions for enhancement, including promoting refined data management, strengthening supply chain collaboration, and exploring extended lifecycle management, which provide a clear direction for the company's carbon management work in the next phase.
Director Zhou Jian of the Zhenping County Market Supervision Bureau highly evaluated the professional value of the evaluation work, stating that the evaluation report is like a "mirror" that reflects the company's efforts in the substantive aspects of green transformation while clearly pointing out areas for improvement in management standardization. Director Zhou noted that Nanyang Weite's willingness to take responsibility and take the lead in the national carbon footprint certification demonstrates the company's vision and courage. The market supervision department will establish a "one-on-one" service mechanism to fully support the company in completing rectifications and improvements. It will also actively promote the industrial transformation of pilot experiences and policy integration, enabling green development enterprises to truly gain market advantages and social recognition, and driving the green upgrading of regional industrial clusters.
In his statement, General Manager Liao Xiaolu expressed his sincere gratitude to the expert team for their hard work and guidance, the certification body for their trust, and the local government for its long-term support. He emphasized that the company "fully agrees with, sincerely accepts, and comprehensively adopts" all the issues pointed out by the evaluation team and will immediately establish a special rectification team to systematically promote problem-solving and process optimization.
General Manager Liao stated that the company will view this certification as a "strategic new engine" to drive comprehensive upgrading, comprehensively optimize its corporate governance system, and strengthen its management foundation. It will deeply integrate carbon footprint management into its long-term strategy. Through special rectifications and systematic training, the company will internalize and externalize the awareness of "operating in accordance with regulations and procedures," committed to building an industry benchmark characterized by solid and credible data, standardized and efficient management, and sustainable development. It aims to build an industry green benchmark with "solid data, strong management, and sustainability," living up to the responsibility and expectations of being the first pilot.
In recent years, Nanyang Weite Flameproof Motor Co., Ltd. has actively responded to the national "dual carbon" strategy and made steady progress on its path of green development: In 2022, the YBX5 series motors took the lead in obtaining the national first-level energy efficiency test report; in 2023, the YBX4 series was awarded the national "Green Design Product" and provincial-level Green Factory; in 2024, the company successfully became a "National Green Factory" and participated in the formulation of the "Group Standard for Carbon Footprint Quantification of Flameproof Motors," continuously contributing wisdom and strength to the industry's green and low-carbon development.
The successful completion of this on-site evaluation is not only an authoritative test of the company's green development achievements but also a strong driver for future continuous improvement.
